My guest post and blogging strategy
Recently I had a guest post published on Ellie Stevenson’s writing blog.
It was a really fun experience – especially because I was writing about something I feel passionate about. It also happens to be a subject I didn’t feel would fit well with my own blog so I’m very grateful to Ellie for the opportunity.
I set up this blog to discuss things that are related to my work and things that I find useful. That’s why I have sections about Motivation and Social Media. It’s not that I lack passion for these subjects, it’s just that these are the things I use to help me earn a crust, so I preserve the distinctions.
On the other hand, I’ve managed to find space for my recipe blog on this site, which is another passion I have that doesn’t make me any money. So maybe there is room for a few more subjects on this site?
I’m considering introducing two new blog sections. One about fiction and another for short stories. I’ll let you know if and when I’ve started adding to them. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy my guest post on Ellie’s site. There may be more to follow and I’ll keep you updated about that too.
If anyone else is interested in getting me to write a guest post please use the contact form or Twitter to let me know about it.
