DigiTalks write-up
I’m sorry to say that due to circumstances beyond my control I managed to turn up slightly late to DigiTalks last night. It’s OK though, I made up for it by leaving early! I went with my other half and a colleague after dinner and we managed to catch two and a half speeches and spent a few minutes networking. We were there primarily out of nosiness and also to represent the social media cafe. We also wanted to make sure our cafe events wouldn’t be treading on DigiTalks toes so it was a useful trip even though we were unable to make the most of it.
The fact of the matter is we were late leaving for dinner because the other half had been speaking on BBC Radio Glos and then had a load of work to do after. We hope to be posting an MP3 of that interview (all two and a half glorious minutes) online soon. Then we left the event early because we’ve all been far too busy this week and were basically tired out.
Nonetheless it was good to see @jonnop there and meet his friend (who’s Twitter ID I sadly neglected to make a note of). It was also good to see such a big turnout and know that there are plenty of people interested in all things web-based. It’s another encouraging sign for our cafe!
Our next learning and networking experience will be the #Addme conference. See you there?
