Networking in Cheltenham

I remember many years ago watching people network at parties and conferences. It was a mystery to me. Something I wanted to do but also something that terrified me. Now I am helping to organise the Cheltenham Social Media Cafe and tonight I’m going to DigiTalks to get some practise and hopefully learn a lot too. I’m also supporting my other half who may or may not be speaking about the Social Media Cafe. We’re not sure yet and at the moment he’s too busy to even think about it so if it does happen I’m sure it’ll be a polished performance.

Our first cafe event is scheduled for the 25th March from 6-8pm at Pepper Crescent and we’re hoping to see a lot of people there to network with like-minded individuals and talk about social media. You can see the original Cheltenham Social Media Cafe blog post about it here! For anyone who wants to follow the cafe on Twitter our ID is @cheltsocmedcafe and we’re also on Facebook

The uptake so far is promising and we’re chuffed to see so much support for social media and cake in Cheltenham.

If you’re at DigiTalks this evening I may see you there. I’ll be stood next to a really tall guy and looking nervous!
